Seeing Green 2017

Nothing helps fend off the Winter blues better than the refreshing colors of Springtime in December. The global color authority, Pantone Color Institute, just released the Top 10 colors for Spring fashion 2017.

News agencies are thrilled to report that everyone will be seeing green in 2017. The 2017 Pantone Color of the Year is "Greenery." The Greenery color is being referred to as fresh, zesty, refreshing, invigorating and "a breath of fresh air." According to TIME magazine, the color of the year is meant to represent "regard for the environment."

The greenery color has already started showing up on cars, appliances and furniture. Mercedes boldly displays cars in this color.

Pantone even takes the time on their Instagram account to show how to mix the color greenery. And they have a youtube video to show how the color appears in everyday life, such as in a green tea latte, a laptop keyboard, eyeshadow, artificial turf grass or a near your rooftop garden swing.

Although Greenery is stealing the color spotlight today, there are other colors in the top 10 list. If Greenery is the lead actor in the 2017 fashion show, the supporting characters will be Niagra, Primrose Yellow, Lapis Blue, Flame, Island Paradise, Pale Dogwood, Pink Yarrow, Kale and Hazelnut. And any foodie who looks at this list, will be thrilled to know that three of the colors are named after something edible.
